Important Update: Changes to Our Adult Friendship Group

As our fixed-term funding from the National Lottery and The Alliance comes to an end, the current cycle of our adult friendship group will draw to a close, with limited sessions taking place between 25th September - 1st October 2026.

Because our remaining organisational funding is legally tied to other specific projects, these general sessions will take a pause while we consider new grant opportunities.

πŸ—“οΈ Final Sessions & Wrap-Up Schedule

To celebrate the group and complete our remaining work, we have three final sessions scheduled. Please note that you cannot attend any of these sessions without booking and receiving confirmation in advance. Places are limited and must be booked by emailing emma@differabled.com (your attendance is only secured once Emma has confirmed it with you):

  • Friday, 25th September (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Farewell Group Lunch – A final funded lunch in Glasgow city centre for our regular group members.

  • Tuesday, 29th September (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM): Communication Passport Recap – A review session with Autistically Scott at Clarice Pears (best suited for previous attendees).

  • Thursday, 1st October (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM): Final Communication Passport Session & Lunch – Our final wrap-up session at Clarice Pears, followed by lunch. Following this session, the friendship group will officially close.

🌱 New Initiatives & Future Connections

While this specific group is pausing, we are excited to introduce new ways to stay involved with DIFFERabled:

  • DIFFERabled Women’s Collective: We are launching a brand-new pilot project! This is a dedicated, neuro-affirming space for adults (18+) who were Assigned Female at Birth (AFAB), made possible by newly secured project funding.

  • Seasonal Reconnections: We intend to book spaces for occasional, self-facilitated "reconnection" meet-ups throughout the year (including one around Christmas) as budgets allow.

  • Other Sessions: You are always welcome to attend our regular sessions hosted by external consultants and organisations, including our upcoming session with The Nook from SAMH.

πŸ“² How to Stay in Touch (Important GDPR Notice)

Because GDPR rules prevent us from keeping your contact details for this group, please check our Events Page or follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates.

Please note: Our office cannot accommodate walk-ins, and the β€œadults” email inbox will not be routinely monitored after the group closes.

Thank you so much to everyone who made this group such a wonderful space over the last two years. We look forward to building the next chapter with you.
