Autistically Scott
Scott is an Autistic Trainer, Mentor & Consultant based in Lanarkshire. They have several years of experience supporting Autistic people as well as delivering a variety of training sessions and presenting at conferences to numerous professionals and groups. Scott also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Autism. Additionally, they work with organisations such as AUsome Training and GROVE Neurodivergent Mentoring & Education. Scott is a co-author of Creating Safe Spaces for Autistic People and the children's book Gabby's Glimmers.

Improving the Wellbeing of Neurodivergent People

The session provides some background on current challenges in society that can negatively impact neurodivergent people’s wellbeing. Following this, there is exploration and discussion of what constitutes positive wellbeing, as well as how subjective this can be within the community. Participants will be able to discuss and receive ideas on how to enhance the wellbeing of the neurodivergent people in their lives.
Interaction is welcome at various points of the call - but there is no expectation to participate. Our aim is for those attending to be comfortable, and so video / mic are optional. We may need to confirm your identity through the private text chat facility.

Understanding & Supporting Pathological Demand Avoidance

This session will cover an overview of Pathological Demand Avoidance, also known as Extreme Demand Avoidance or newly termed Persistent/Pervasive Drive for Autonomy.
This session will bust common myths and define what PDA is and what it is not.
We will explore best ways to support PDA'ers in different environments. Whilst explaining the advantages of declarative language, we will look at how you can adapt your language to a way that wont casue negative reaction.

Understanding one’s energy levels is critical for wellbeing and in mitigating the risk of fatigue or burnout. This session aims to breakdown the various types of energy all human beings have, looking at this through a Neurodivergent lens.
Additionally, various discussions and activities will unfold to recognise what impacts on our energy levels and how this can translate into balancing Neurodivergent people’s energy levels.
